Founded in 1869 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dillard University (DU) was formed through the merger of two institutions, Straight University and Union Normal School, which were both founded in 1869 and combined in 1930. DU offers a diverse array of degree programs, featuring prominent ones in arts, business, health professions, humanities, protective services, and STEM.
